đď¸ About Rob Fossett
Rob Fossett is fascinated by the emerging possibilities of AI-generated imagery. While he approached the medium with enthusiasm, he also brought a deep awareness of the ethical and philosophical questions it raises:
Is this art? Where does creativity begin and end when AI is involved? How can we use these tools without erasing the value of human artists?
Robâs answers were thoughtful, often humble, and always respectful of the larger creative landscape. He believed that “creativity is inherent in the use of problem solving to achieve a desired outcome.” Intention matters. AI was just one part of the process.
In his own words:
“All art is the product of human imagination expressed through a set of tools in a process of recursive problem solving⌠The desired outcome in this case is the display of the degree to which the styles of famous artists can be imitated in new materials developed using AI graphics.”

đ¸ Through the Pixels
Robâs work explores how AI, like Midjourney, could interpret visual styles. It could also reimagine them as a kind of stylistic echo. Often, these styles are from deceased artists. He never used prompts âin the style ofâ living artists. He avoids this on principle and believes AI platforms should honor that boundary.
Each image in the gallery is the result of experimentation, iteration, and selection. Rob revealed that he rejected more than 98% of generated content. He spent far more time correcting and curating than creating. His work was not a click-and-go showcaseâit was the result of patience, vision, and refinement.
This exhibit provides a glimpse into that body of work. It’s where creativity meets computation. The human behind the keyboard still holds the vision.
