🎨 ABOUT THE INSTALLATION: Impact & Coffee
A Landscape Brewed from Memory and Mud
What began as a quiet idea—painting with coffee or tea—has steeped into something profound. With Impact & Coffee, CK Ballyhoo transforms her long-held vision into a rich, immersive virtual Second Life art installation.
Crafted with intention and the very grounds of daily ritual, including dried espresso sludge, delicate stains, and thick, brewed textures. Occasionally, it is kissed with watercolor for added warmth and hue.
This is more than a visual experiment. Each layer of the landscape is tied to a song, poem, or Second Life story that touched CK personally. The result is a poetic and emotional terrain—one that invites you to feel the impact of creative connection, memory, and virtual magic.
It’s a place where the digital meets the tactile, and where storytelling leaves visible traces across the land.
At its heart lies a resonant question:
“Isn’t coffee the fuel on which artists, creators, and (song)writers run?“
This soul-soaked Second Life art experience is open for June 2025 only, so now’s the time to drink it in.

As you explore the installation, you’ll find a quiet space set aside for community reflections. You’re warmly encouraged to add your story—whether it’s a memory tied to a song, a powerful SL experience, or a line of poetry that stayed with you.
This evolving space is a reminder that we’re all part of the blend.

👩🎨 ABOUT THE ARTIST: CK (Ceakay Ballyhoo)
CK Ballyhoo is a well loved Second Life artist. Known for crafting immersive, watercolor landscapes that feel both organic and deeply narrative. Her environments unfold like visual poems—places to wander, wonder, and feel.
CK’s strong foundation in watercolor art, brings a practiced eye for tone, texture, and mood to everything she creates.
That sensitivity finds new life in Impact & Coffee. She paints not with pixels alone. She uses diluted coffee grounds, dried sludge, and rich, espresso-like textures. The resulting world is earthy and sepia-toned. Beautifully nuanced, layered with light and shadow. Occasionally, there is a stroke of watercolor for warmth and contrast.
This installation is not only visually beautiful. It’s deeply personal.
Every song, poem, and Second Life story embedded in the build has touched CK in a meaningful way. The work is a heartfelt tribute. It shows how virtual worlds—and the people within them—can shape and shift our real lives.
