Stepping Into a Story of Love
This September, Maison de la Chouette opens its doors to Love’s Journey. An immersive Second Life photography exhibition by Kimma and Declan McGregor. More than images on a wall, this show invites us into the unfolding story of love,
Each photograph is paired with a note card chapter, placed beside the work like a whispered fragment of the story. These writings bring context and emotion, deepening the images and pulling you into the journey. I won’t give them away here, they’re meant to be read and felt in the space itself. Together, the pictures and words create a tapestry. Moving the energy between quiet intimacy, fiery passion, and the milestones of a shared life.
Two Perspectives, One Journey
Declan and Kimma bring their own artistic eyes to the work:
- Declan captures the intimate and familiar, subtle glances, shared laughter, the quiet beauty of being together.
- Kimma leans into passion and energy, the raw intensity, the spark of connection, the unspoken bond.
Side by side, their lenses weave a complete story. Universal and yet deeply personal, reminding us that love is at once unique and shared. As the artists themselves note, “Love’s Journey is an invitation to walk through our story, one chapter at a time.”

Experience and Support
The beauty of Love’s Journey is in how it draws you in. Stand with the images, read the notecards, and you may find yourself reflecting on your own experiences of love.
Instead of selling individual works, Declan and Kimma ask that visitors consider making a donation to Maison de la Chouette. 💜 I’m so grateful they chose to support the gallery in this way! Thank you, Declan and Kimma, for your generosity.
Meet the Artists
Kimma McGregor began photography in 2008 as a creative exploration that quickly grew into a passion. Her work is guided by feeling ,atmosphere, mood, and story. A self-taught artist, Kimma continues to evolve, often capturing the quiet, intimate spaces of Second Life.

🦉 Owl’s Reflections
Love’s Journey is more than an exhibit ,it’s an invitation. The artistry of Declan and Kimma’s images, woven with their wordsmithing, pulled me straight into the story. I loved the flow of the chapters and found myself wrapped up in their journey. I’ll admit, I came away with a few questions. Which is part of what makes art like this so engaging. And now, of course, I’m curious to know… what’s next?
Some exhibits stay with you long after you leave the gallery — Love’s Journey is one of them. It left me thinking about love, story, and how art can quietly mirror our own lives.
